Rakesh is the President and CEO of Sans Pareil Technologies, Inc. Rakesh is also the President of CJUG. His primary skills are in server side Java development, with wide experience with the various J2EE technologies. Rakesh is heavily involved in open source development and is the owner of a few projects hosted on java.net. Rakesh is also an enthusiastic mobile application developer for Apple iPhone and Google Android. Rakesh has worked for clients such as Tribune Media Services, Convergys Corporation, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Illinois, and New York Life. He has handled reposibilities including software architecture, software design, software development, webservices development, data modelling (RDBMS, ODBMS and XML) and project management for various turnkey projects he was entrusted with by the companies he has worked for.

Rakesh is interested in all aspects of System and Software Architecture. He is a firm believer in the benefits of Iterative Development Methodology. He is familiar with the pros and cons of common design patterns, and is experienced at utlising the appropriate patterns for the job on hand.
Rakesh completed his Bachelor of Technology Mechanical Engineering degree from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram in 1992. He worked as a Design Engineer for two years in Thiruvananthapuram. He completed an MS Mechanical Engineering degree from Iowa State University in 1997 where he did all his research work using C++.
